The Skigriff is a logical evolving object concernig the wide field of products for the ski business. As there are already existing ski boots, ski poles, ski helmets and so on... it is just obvious that there also has to be a Skigriff for the lodge or cabin in the mountains you use for skiing.
It is shaped a an ergonomic way. Allowing you to normally close the door by hand. But there might be the one occasion where you already have all your gear settled on your shoulders. Then you can easily hook your ski pole into the Skigriff and shut the door.

The two possibilities of how the door knob can be used.

Making of

With the general idea and the fist scetches the door knob was finalised in its form using a 3D modelling programm.

When done welding the edges where grinded smooth. Getting it ready for some colour.

After the pieces were laser cutted the ski-pole-detail was milled, creating the particular moon-like shape.

To be able to start welding it was necessary to constuct a fixture so the sigle parts won't shift in position and get distorted.
